About The Position

The Process Piping Designer will be a member of the Daisy Brand Corporate Engineering Department. The Designer will provide services to support Projects for all of Daisy Brand’s manufacturing facilities. The Process Piping Designer will report directly to the Corporate Design Engineering Manager. This position operates under a hybrid work model, requiring onsite presence Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, with Wednesday and Friday designated as remote workdays. While this schedule is typical, team or business needs may require additional onsite days. The Process Piping Designer’s office will be located at the Dallas, TX Home Office but he/she will support projects at the Garland, TX, Casa Grande, AZ, Wooster, OH, and Boone, IA Manufacturing Facilities as well. For Dallas, TX location : Currently, the Daisy Brand corporate office is located in Dallas, TX at 635 and 75. Anticipated September 2027, we will be moving to the Granite Park business complex in North Plano (intersection of Dallas North Tollway and Sam Rayburn Tollway).

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-7 years working within an Engineering role in the Food & Beverage or Consumer Goods Industry Or Bachelor’s degree in drafting technology or related field, and 2 years of related experience required. Or Associate's degree and 3 years of related experience required. Or 5-7 years of progressive detailing and design experience required.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D and Inventor
  • Experience working in a Manufacturing Plant
  • Fluent reading piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), process flow diagrams (PFDs), and block flow diagrams (BFDs)
  • Working knowledge of best practices for aseptic/hygienic piping design
  • Familiarity with piping materials and fittings
  • Familiarity with material handling and packaging systems
  • Willing to collaborate with other team members and have good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage time and workload effectively, which includes planning, organizing, and prioritizing work
  • Excellent Formal and Informal Communication Skills, Professional Attitude, and Professional Appearance.
  • Strong Computer Skills (MS Office)

Responsibilities

  • Provide AutoCAD Plant 3D Production Support for: Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&ID's) and Process Flow Diagrams
  • 3D Modeling of Process Piping, Utility Piping, and Packaging/Material Handling Equipment
  • Construction Documents including orthographic plans and elevations, equipment layouts, and isometric views
  • Develop and implement CAD Design Standards
  • Maintenance and Validation of Record Drawing Library and Equipment Schedules
  • Contribute in development of manufacturing processes; including master planning, optimization of equipment layout, modeling of equipment utilization, and documentation of requirements and specifications
  • Subject matter expert for AutoCAD Software Platforms
  • Effectively handle multiple projects and multiple deadlines
  • Other duties as assigned.
