About The Position

The Process Operator will be responsible for packaging bulk materials into vessels (Totes, Drums, Pails, Jugs, and Tubes), and the receipt of raw materials and preparation of finished products for shipment to include the loading & offloading of trucks, railcars, totes & drums. This role involves working around large batch bulk blending processes, using raw material blending recipes to produce bulk finished products. It also includes packing production processes involving various container sizes and performing daily visual level and temperature readings of tanks. Computer-related tasks are necessary to ensure timely and accurate product delivery and paperwork completion. The operator must perform all work functions in a manner that supports Corporate and FWL Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental objectives and contribute to a clean and orderly workplace by adhering to routine cleaning schedules and following HSSE guidelines.

Requirements

Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
High School Diploma or Equivalent is required
Strong computer literacy skills
Ability to juggle several conflicting priorities without compromising safety or quality
Ability to learn, execute, and eventually write and follow procedures as required
Must possess a valid driver's license
Willingness to work a rotating shift schedule
Ability to serve as a member of an emergency response team
Ability to use safe lifting techniques, able to lift and carry 20 kg from ground to waist level
Ability to work safely wearing a respirator or Self-contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA)
Willingness to comply with Shell's drug-free and harassment-free work environment and comply with all safety policies and procedures
Willingness to submit all medical assessment of your fitness for duty, background check, driving record check and Pre-Site Access testing for alcohol and specified drugs
Must complete the online assessment and receive a passing score

Nice To Haves

Relevant post-secondary education preferred
Relevant work experience in a similar industry is preferred
Basic knowledge in SAP is an asset
Demonstrates a willingness to continuously learn and improve skills

Responsibilities

Manage the loading & offloading process of trucks and rail cars ensuring delivery of the proper products and volumes ordered
Prepare proper hose connections to facilitate receipt of raw materials from bulk trucks and rail cars
Verify that the receiving vessel can accommodate the volume of raw materials or finished products being transferred
Manipulate drummed and packaged materials both manually and with powered industrial equipment as required
Acquire samples of bulk and packaged raw materials and finished products as required
Perform work functions around large batch bulk blending processes, using raw material blending recipes to produce bulk finished products around our 3 main chemistries
Perform Packing Production processes involving Totes, Drums, 20L pails, 5L, 1L bottles, & 1LB tubes
Acquire a visual level and temperature reading of tanks daily along with manual, tape gauges performed monthly
Perform computer related tasks necessary to ensure that a quality product is delivered to the customer on time and in the quantity ordered along with any necessary paperwork
Perform all work functions in such a manner that supports Corporate and FWL Health, Safety, Security and Environmental objectives
Actively contribute toward a clean and orderly workplace by adhering to routine cleaning schedules
Follow HSSE (Health, Safety, Security & Environmental) guidelines in all activities/tasks and holidays (turnarounds, outages, major plant activities, production support, etc.)
