Senior Process Operator
About The Position
The Co-op Ethanol Complex (CEC) is hiring a Process Operator on a permanent, full-time basis to join their team. This position requires on-site work and is located near Belle Plaine, SK. The role involves ensuring the safe and efficient operations of plant equipment and systems to meet product standards, performing quality assurance tests, and conducting minor maintenance and adjustments. The company is committed to purchasing local grain and starch inputs to produce ethanol and dried distillers grain (DDG), contributing to a lower carbon economy in Western Canada. This is a unionized role with UNIFOR Canada Local 594.
Requirements
- Relevant industrial experience.
- A 2nd Class Power Engineering Certificate, or a 3rd Class and actively working towards your 2nd.
- Reliable transportation to drive to our plant in Belle Plaine for scheduled shifts.
- Willing to comply with a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
- Willing to complete a criminal record check.

Responsibilities
- Ensure the safe and efficient operations of plant equipment and systems to ensure product is meeting established standards.
- Perform quality assurance tests on the product using testing instruments and making necessary corrective adjustments based on results.
- Perform equipment checks and minor maintenance as required. If an issue is identified, make the necessary machinery and equipment adjustments and implement the proper response.
- Ensure all water testing equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
