You will operate and maintain manufacturing equipment to deliver high-quality products safely and reliably. You will follow standard procedures and batch documentation while working closely with technicians and supervisors. Operate, clean, and maintain production equipment following standard operating procedures, safety rules, and batch documentation. Monitor equipment performance and product quality, and report or escalate issues that affect safety or output. Perform routine changeovers and start-of-batch activities to meet production specifications. Complete required production records and basic system entries accurately and on time. Support continuous improvement by suggesting practical fixes and participating in basic problem solving. Work with teammates and supervisors to troubleshoot minor production stoppages and hand off technical issues as needed. Operates, challenges, replenishes consumable supplies, cleans equipment, and all the duties needed by the business, Actively participates and owns monitoring equipment for excessive rejects / stoppages and utilizes performance data to escalate any problems occurring in the area that affects product quality, safety and other aspects of line performance. Delivers against safety, quality, waste & performance objectives defined by strategy deployment and identifies and recommends areas for process improvement or alternative operating methods to increase efficiency. Recognized as an expert on operations /process and possesses the ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment production stoppages. Operator possesses considerable knowledge of the job and is reliable and able to produce high quality and high quantity work. Works in coordination with other associates, assistants, and /or technicians to carry out daily job responsibilities, including recognizing and assisting with troubleshooting technical issues and providing information to the next supervisory level. Demonstrates the ability to describe the technological theory of operation, product flow through equipment, and able to identify the function and purpose of all sensors, limit switches, and proximity sensors. Demonstrates the ability to conduct equipment set up changeovers and start of batch activities to the designed specifications without start up issues. Ability to become certified on multiple technologies and flow to the work as needed by the business.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1 + year of manufacturing or production experience.
  • Must have the ability to lift 40 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Willingness to work site-based, including shift patterns and up to 12.5-hour shifts when required.
  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
  • Comfort using computers for basic data entry and training systems.
  • Experience with equipment set-up, changeovers, and routine operational checks.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to read gauges and instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with human machine interfaces (HMI) or production data systems.
  • Experience following technical documentation and maintaining inspection readiness.
  • Exposure to continuous improvement tools such as 5S or standard work.
