The Night Shift Process Operator is responsible for the operation of the electronically controlled process equipment, cooker, machinery, as well as the evaluation of any process problems in addition to performing product quality testing. This role oversees the rendering process from raw material bin to finished goods storage, ensuring a steady flow of material and maintaining optimal operating levels for the cooker, temperature, rate, and steam. The operator will monitor the evaporation rate, control material flow to presses and storage, and operate the pollution control system. Additionally, they are responsible for boiler start-up and operation, performing preventative maintenance, monitoring machinery, and ensuring the work area is clean after each shift. Safety and food safety are paramount in this role.
