About The Position

Delrin® is seeking a Process Operator to monitor and operate low hazard equipment and facilities, including polymer compounding and finishing, as well as field equipment. The role ensures quality and adherence to standard operating procedures. Operators are responsible for maintaining safety standards, initiating emergency procedures when necessary, and performing basic maintenance and upkeep on area equipment. Advanced maintenance activities may be performed by qualified operators. The company emphasizes sustainability, producing a portion of its products from 100% bio feedstocks.

Requirements

  • Valid WorkKeys Scores (Workplace Observation -4, Graphic Literacy -4, and Applied Technology -4)
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Willing and able to work a 24/7 rotating shift schedule including holidays, weekends, and any required overtime
  • Willing and able to frequently lift and move objects weighing up to 50lbs
  • Willing and able to wear a respirator and other PPE
  • Willing and able to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs and work from heights

Nice To Haves

  • Previous industrial / chemical manufacturing experience
  • Experience with start up, shut down, and monitoring a variety of production equipment
  • Experience analyzing in process data through instrument and control systems
  • Two-year Process Technology Associates degree or Chemical Operator certificate
  • Experience operating a fork truck
  • Ability to navigate and utilize the tools within Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and a variety of information systems
  • Current and valid driver’s license to operate company vehicles

Responsibilities

  • Ensure quality and conformance with standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain safety standards at all times.
  • Initiate and follow emergency procedures when necessary.
  • Perform basic maintenance repair and upkeep on area equipment.
  • Perform advanced maintenance activities, as qualified.
  • Operate manual valves.
  • Perform minor maintenance activity.
  • Operate a central control room.
  • Perform analytical work in field labs.
  • Maintain housekeeping.
