About The Position

The Process Operator Level IV is responsible for taking an active improvement role on a day-to-day basis. This role involves maintaining a safe working environment, coordinating safety meetings, identifying and addressing issues related to lost time, output, and quality, and ensuring permanent fixes are implemented. The operator must be proficient in operating all line equipment, consistently meeting production and quality goals, and training other operators to ensure finished goods meet specifications and proper records are maintained. This position also requires promoting the current quality system by adhering to its elements and being familiar with its philosophy, quality statement, manual, and procedures. Other duties may be required as needed.

Requirements

• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
• AS-400 or other enterprise-wide system experience
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to fill out and complete production and safety paperwork.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Previous leadership/supervisory experience within a production/manufacturing experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe working environment for all employees by following and enforcing all safety rules and procedures
• Coordinating pre-shift safety meetings.
• Understanding what the top reasons for lost time, lost output, and poor quality are and taking appropriate corrective action.
• Taking specific preventative actions, ensuring that permanent fixes are put in place for these reasons.
• Able to operate all line equipment.
• Consistently meeting all production and quality goals.
• Trains and motivates production operators to ensure Finished Goods met product specifications, and that proper records are maintained.
• Promotes the current quality system through adhering to the elements of, and being familiar with, the philosophy, quality statement, quality manual, and procedures.
• Performs other duties as required.
