About The Position

Responsible for independently performing any of the following positions and their attendant job responsibilities – Bagger/Strapper Operator, Boxer Operator, Filler or Middle Operator. This position reports to the Production Supervisor or Line Supervisor and provides an interface with other Production Operators including Shipping/Receiving personnel. This position also involves very close liaison with, and support and coordination of, quality control and meeting customer demand. Additional reporting to Plant Superintendent, Production Manager, Plant Manager. The Process Operator I is responsible for adhering to the responsibilities listed below regardless of the Operator position they are performing. Promotes health, safety and environmental regulations by ensuring that standards, policies, and procedures are adhered to in compliance with corporate, federal, state, and local requirements. Promotes the quality system through adhering to the elements of and being familiar with the philosophy, quality statement, quality manual, and procedures. Maintains a safe working environment. Follows all safety rules and procedures. Responsible for visual quality of product. Maintains work station; keeps clean, organized and safe of tripping hazards.

Responsibilities

• Bagger/Strapper Operator – Accurately weighs and measures raw materials as required.
• Boxer Operator – Accurately stamps or labels boxes as required.
• Middle Operator – Performs process for splicing into production line surfacing fabrics and film as needed. Maintains the operation of the entire middle section of the line in relation to quality specification and product requirements. Maintains the operation of the press rollers and cooling process of the sheet. Sets up raw materials. Assists for set up in product changes.
• Coatings Operators – Accurately weighs and measures raw materials and fills raw materials as required.
• Performs other duties as required.
