Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous manufacturing experience
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (bump cap, hair net, ear plugs, beard net (if applicable), Kevlar gloves, safety glasses and leather skid resistant work shoes/boots
  • Ability to apply basic computer and communication skills, math functions, and reasoning
  • Ability to use basic hand tools (knife, pumps, and scales)
  • Previous experience as a machine operator
  • Lock Out/Tag Out Trained

Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients per the batch card (verifying item codes, lot numbers, weights, and descriptions)
  • Oversee the preparation of batches (spice, sauté, cheese blends, and sauces)
  • Remove any products not required for current batches and verify all ingredients are correct
  • Exercise judgement in the quality of the finished product
  • Maintain ingredient lot numbers and cooking cycle counts
  • Preform CIPs are required
  • Monitor sauté and cook kettle processing to ensure cook time and product transfers
  • Ability to work in all kitchen positions
  • Ensure kitchen and all utensils are clean and ready for use
  • Understand written production orders
  • Report food safety & quality problems to personnel with authority initiate action
