About The Position

Metallurgist support for division. Responsibilities include maintaining a safe work environment, cross-training on other metallurgist positions within the division, identifying opportunities for improvement in products and processes, designing and managing trials for product and process improvements, assisting in the development of new rail and structural grades, and performing failure investigations and writing technical reports outlining findings. Participation in ongoing education by attending technical conferences and training is also expected.

Requirements

• B.S. in Metallurgical / Materials Engineering (or equivalent degree)
• Outstanding written and oral communication abilities, including presentation skills
• High attention to detail
