About The Position
This role is part of the Engineering Maintenance team supporting a GMP manufacturing facility currently in an active expansion phase. Initially, the position will support equipment installation, commissioning, and qualification activities. As the site transitions into commercial production, the role will evolve into ongoing manufacturing support. You will maintain and troubleshoot process equipment used in the manufacture of oligonucleotides, working closely with engineers, operators, and other maintenance technicians in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
Requirements
- Associate degree, trade school certification, or equivalent hands‑on experience
- 3+ years of experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills in process or industrial systems
- Experience working in regulated environments (GMP, FDA‑regulated, or similar)
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, equipment manuals, and maintenance documentation
- Working knowledge of GMP and good documentation practices
- Familiarity with safety practices such as lockout/tagout and controlled work permits
Nice To Haves
- Experience in pharmaceutical, life sciences, or other highly regulated industries
- Exposure to automated process equipment and industrial control systems
- Experience with CMMS tools (e.g., Blue Mountain RAM, Maximo, SAP)
- Fabrication, welding, or basic machining experience (helpful but not required)
Responsibilities
- Perform planned and unplanned maintenance on GMP manufacturing equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, fluid handling, pneumatic, and thermal control systems (e.g., pumps, valves, regulators, agitators, piping systems)
- Support low‑voltage electrical and control troubleshooting (no high‑voltage work)
- Execute preventive maintenance activities and respond to equipment issues to support production
- Document maintenance activities accurately in a computerized maintenance management system
- Support GMP requirements through proper documentation and adherence to SOPs
- Communicate repair status and equipment conditions clearly with cross‑functional teams
