Process Machine Operator: Floater (1st Shift)
About The Position
Mars Wrigley is seeking a Process Machine Operator: Floater for their Elizabethtown, PA facility, which manufactures DOVE Chocolate. This role serves as a backup to the Production Coordinator and production lead, involving product and machine rebuilds, changeovers, quality checks, cleaning-in-place (CIP), and contributing to continuous improvement recommendations. The position currently operates on a 1st shift (Day) schedule, Monday-Friday, from 6:30 am to 3 pm, with flexibility based on business needs. Future schedules in 2027 will transition to a 12-hour night or day shift.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent education
- 3+ years of manufacturing experience
- Basic analytical and mathematical skills
- Proficient using laptops, iPads, and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Email, etc.)
- Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs)
- Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping.
- Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, lean over equipment, and operate in confined spaces.
- Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods, with shifts lasting 12 hours
- Capable of working in hot, cold and wet conditions
- Proficient in understanding, communicating, reading, and writing in English.

Responsibilities
- Back up to the Production Coordinator and Production lead as needed
- Ensure operational efficiency, conformance to standards, product quality and drive continuous improvement
- Responsible for the efficient production of quality products
- Operate, monitor, and perform changeover and rebuilds on machinery
- Train and assist other associates as needed, supporting Production Coordinators and the Maintenance team
- Maintain accurate records of quality checks and keep detailed logbooks
- Any ad hoc requests
