About The Position

This role is for a Process Machine Operator: Floater on the 1st shift at the Elizabethtown, PA facility, which manufactures DOVE Chocolate. The position serves as a backup to the Production Coordinator and production lead. Responsibilities include product and machine rebuilds, changeovers, quality checks, cleaning-in-place (CIP), and making continuous improvement recommendations. The current shift schedule is Monday-Friday, 6:30 am-3 pm, with flexibility based on business needs. In 2027, the schedule will transition to a 12-hour night or day shift.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent education
  • 3+ years of manufacturing experience
  • Basic analytical and mathematical skills
  • Proficient using laptops, iPads, and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Email, etc.)
  • Can perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs)
  • Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping.
  • Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, lean over equipment, and operate in confined spaces.
  • Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods, with shifts lasting 12 hours
  • Capable of working in hot, cold and wet conditions
  • Proficient in understanding, communicating, reading, and writing in English.

Responsibilities

  • Back up to the Production Coordinator and Production lead as needed
  • Ensure operational efficiency, conformance to standards, product quality and drive continuous improvement
  • Responsible for the efficient production of quality products
  • Operate, monitor, and perform changeover and rebuilds on machinery
  • Train and assist other associates as needed, supporting Production Coordinators and the Maintenance team
  • Maintain accurate records of quality checks and keep detailed logbooks
  • Any ad hoc requests
