About The Position

The Process Improvement Technician serves as the area's Subject Matter Expert (SME), driving process optimization through improvements in Safety, Quality, efficiency, and performance. This role identifies process losses, implements sustainable solutions, and partners with cross-functional teams to standardize best practices and improve business results.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience (food manufacturing preferred).
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proven ability to identify root causes, solve complex problems, and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve processes and performance.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing equipment, processes, and automation systems.
  • Proficient in data analysis, and visualization tools.
  • Effective communication, collaboration, and influencing skills.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and problem-solving tools.
  • Strong analytical and root cause problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly organized and self-directed, with the ability to manage priorities, work independently, and execute with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated accountability, initiative, and follow-through.
  • Proficient with standard business applications (Microsoft apps) and computer systems.
  • Basic math skills and flexibility to support varying schedules as needed

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the area's process SME, driving Safety, Quality, and OpEx improvements.
  • Analyze processes to identify losses, risks, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives using Daily Problem Solving, A3, DMAIC, and other problem-solving methodologies.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to implement sustainable process improvements.
  • Utilize data to prioritize opportunities, monitor results, and drive decision-making.
  • Identify and implement technology and automation solutions that improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Maintain process metrics and improvement records.
  • Develop and update SOPs, CILs, work instructions, and process maps.
  • Ensure process documentation is current, accurate, and accessible.
  • Train and coach employees on new or revised processes.
  • Communicate process changes and gain alignment across shifts and departments.
  • Continuously monitor process changes to ensure they meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement quality control measures as needed to maintain or improve the quality of products
