Process Improvement Engineer

About The Position

Join the team at Eck Industries, a leader in aluminum casting and innovation for over 75 years. We’re looking for a Process Improvement Engineer who will support the launch of new programs, drive process improvements, continuously improve casting quality, maintain required manufacturing certifications, and work closely with customers to deliver high-quality, premium casting products. What You’ll Do Collaborate with customers, engineering, pattern shops, production, and internal teams to launch new programs and improve existing casting processes. Develop, implement, and maintain job process controls, inspection methods, and quality standards to ensure product integrity and customer requirements are met. Evaluate and refine production processes with supervisors and employees to prevent defects, investigate scrap, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions. Analyze quality data using statistical and analytical tools (e.g., capability studies, gage R&R) to identify trends and drive continuous improvement. Maintain quality management system requirements, controlled documentation, and readiness for internal, customer, and third-party audits; lead supplier audits and corrective actions as needed. Support product development and manufacturing operations by providing quality expertise, assisting inspections, and addressing quality issues throughout the production lifecycle.
