Microchip has an opening for a Thin Films Area Process Enhancement Specialist for the Films Maintenance tasks in their Colorado Springs Wafer Fabrication facility (Fab5). In addition to performing Specialist duties required to run production wafers and support production output in the Thin Films area, the Thin Film EES PES will train with maintenance technicians to learn maintenance tasks and certify to be able to perform maintenance tasks on the Thin Films area equipment sets. Candidates for this position must be experienced and capable Operates highly complex equipment, in a cleanroom environment needed for Wafer Fabrication Follows Microchip's Policies Adhere to cleanroom requirements Support Microchip's Guiding Values and Culture and models the Ethos First Principles Certify and operate multiple platforms of highly to moderate complex equipment Receive direct instructions and follow prescribed procedure Work is routinely reviewed Activities are routine and may be repetitive Shift: (D) every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, every other Saturday 7pm-7:12am Job Description In addition to performing Specialist duties required to run production wafers and support production output in the Fab, the Thin Films Maintenance PES will train and certify to perform maintenance tasks on Thin Films equipment sets as defined by the Thin Films EES PES Training Checklist. Examples of these tasks include: Perform selected Preventive Maintenance procedures on Thin Films toolsets Perform Routine Maintenance procedures on Thin Films toolsets Perform scheduled maintenance on WJ tools to include injector changes and muffle etches Perform routine checks and qualifications on equipment Perform designated machine calibrations Perform tasks as directed by an equipment engineer or technician Perform tool recoveries when errors occur on the equipment Initiate, perform, and implement corrective actions towards resolving process and equipment problems Troubleshoot out of control tool issues Complete OCAPs (Out of Control Action Plans) Collect, analyze, interpret, and summarize data Interface effectively with all departments to obtain coordination of efforts needed to accomplish priority tasks.
