About The Position

This role supports daily semiconductor manufacturing operations by monitoring assigned process areas. The technician will investigate and resolve routine process-related production issues, release Work-In-Process (WIP) from hold after completing required verification and documentation, and perform engineering experiments, process qualifications, and process characterization activities as directed by Process Engineers. The position involves collecting, analyzing, and documenting process and manufacturing data, escalating abnormal process conditions, and assisting with root cause investigations. Additionally, the technician will support process optimization and continuous improvement projects to enhance yield, quality, and productivity, while maintaining accurate process documentation, work instructions, and operating procedures. The role also includes reviewing and proofreading process specifications, training and guiding production operators, and ensuring compliance with manufacturing procedures, quality standards, and cleanroom protocols. Participation in yield improvement and defect reduction initiatives is also expected.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 4+ years of experience
  • Working knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes.
  • Understanding of wafer processing and/or back-end assembly operations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Must comply with all cleanroom contamination control protocols.
  • Following all established safety procedures.
  • Reporting unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Using required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Participating in required EHS training.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate Degree in Electronics, Semiconductor Technology, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or related technical discipline preferred.
  • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing, wafer fabrication, advanced packaging, MEMS, compound semiconductor processing, or related high-volume manufacturing is preferred.
