About The Position

The Process Engineering Project Technical Leader owns the overall treatment solution for complex water, wastewater, and waste treatment projects in North America. Working with Process Engineers who provide expertise in individual technologies, this role guides development of integrated solutions that meet customer requirements and can be delivered successfully. The position combines deep technical knowledge, commercial judgment, and understanding of customer processes, markets, regulations, and competitors to balance technical risk with commercial viability. The leader is accountable for the treatment solution and assigned projects throughout development, including treatment performance, successful operation, and customer satisfaction. The role serves as the lead technical contact for customers and internal project functions, leads troubleshooting and corrective actions, manages technical risks, and represents Veolia’s expertise through customer and industry presentations. It also includes training and one-to-one coaching. The role can be based anywhere in North America and is office-based, with periodic travel within North America and possible travel beyond it. It provides technical leadership on individual proposals and projects and coordinates Process Engineers who may not report directly to the role. The position involves accountability for high-impact technical decisions; an error in the overall treatment solution could require adding or replacing a major unit operation or an entire membrane system.
