Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 7+ years of process engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related manufacturing experience.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing engineering personnel or major manufacturing programs.
  • Experience supporting automotive manufacturing operations and experience supporting multiple manufacturing facilities and xxperience with APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, Standardized Work, and launch activities.
  • Experience leading engineering support during new product launches and lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement experience.
  • Experience with injection molding, assembly, paint, or automated manufacturing environments.
  • Experience supporting OEM customer requirements and quality systems

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop Process Engineers supporting MEHP and MEBT.
  • Manage engineering resources and priorities across both facilities.
  • Establish consistent engineering practices, standards, and expectations.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, mentoring, and development of engineering personnel. Build a culture focused on accountability, technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure accuracy and maintenance of all core manufacturing documents including :Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEA, Standardized Work Instructions (SWI), Control Plans, Manufacturing Standards
  • Drive auditing and continuous improvement of process documentation.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes remain aligned with customer, quality, and operational requirements.
  • Lead process engineering activities supporting new model and program launches.
  • Develop manufacturing process concepts, line designs, and process layouts. Support process balancing, capacity planning, and labor optimization activities.
  • Coordinate pilot builds, launch trials, and production readiness activities. Support successful transitions from launch into production.
  • Own the Engineering Change Notice (ECN) process for both facilities.
  • Coordinate validation, implementation, and documentation of engineering changes.
  • Assess process impacts and ensure proper risk mitigation prior to implementation. Track and drive closure of engineering change activities.
  • Lead initiatives focused on improving: Safety, Quality, Productivity, Scrap reduction, Throughput, Manufacturing efficiency
  • Support root cause investigations and sustainable corrective actions.. Utilize data-driven decision making to improve manufacturing performance.
  • Support OEM customer issue resolution activities. Partner with Quality teams on containment, investigation, and corrective action development.
  • Drive process improvements to prevent recurrence of quality issues. Support customer audits, launches, and technical reviews as required.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Program Management, MP&L, and Automation Engineering teams. Coordinate manufacturing readiness activities for new programs and engineering changes.
  • Support standardization initiatives between MEHP and MEBT. Ensure effective communication and alignment between both facilities.
