A.Duties & Responsibilities Identify safety concerns and repair unsafe conditions. Maintain assembly machines and equipment per established PM schedules. Suggest improvements to PM schedules (frequency and content) as applicable. Respond promptly to breakdowns and maintain process uptime through troubleshooting and repairs. Be actively involved in continuous improvement activities. Communicate opportunities for improvement through the appropriate channels. Document issues and repairs using the appropriate systems and forms. Support production equipment start-up and change-over as required. Assist in new equipment commissioning and start-up. Any other duties as assigned. B.Minimum Qualifications Minimum Grade 12. Some experience troubleshooting and repairing assembly equipment. Basic understanding of PLC-based machine logic. Ability to complete Millwright certificate. C.Required Skills Knowledge of pneumatic circuits and systems. Knowledge of PLC-based equipment; some PLC program knowledge. Ability to troubleshoot pneumatic, electric and mechanical equipment. Ability to select and install sensors and other machine components Knowledge of and ability to use machining tools and equipment. Ability to read, understand and update electrical, pneumatic and mechanical drawings for assembly machines and equipment. Understanding of machine guarding and other safety requirements.
