We are currently looking for a Process Engineering Intern at our Newark, NJ office. The 2026 dsm-firmenich Summer Internship Program will run from June 1, 2026 to August 14, 2026. Join our Science & Research, Chemical & Process Sciences team as an intern and gain invaluable professional experience. At the end of this internship, you will: Be familiar with an industrial chemical plant environment Have an understanding of process analysis and chemical engineering skills Have demonstrated effective communication skills for a professional, technical environment

Requirements

• Currently working on completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
• Must be available to work full-time on-site beginning on June 1, 2026 to August 14, 2026.
• Curiosity around organic chemistry and a drive to understand manufacturing systems
• Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize and parse data

Responsibilities

• Quickly learn an existing chemical process on site
• Identify and pursue relevant process information
• Analyze process data leveraging data analytics tools
• Record project methods and results as reports
