Job Summary To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, this Summer, we’re looking to add a Process Engineering Intern located in our Salt Lake City, Utah site. Reporting to the Process Engineering Manager, the student will focus on implementing three innovative solutions on the assembly lines that enhance ergonomics, improve line speed, and facilitate data collection. What a typical day looks like: Utilizing Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate to create a digital application to replace existing paper checklists; expediting the process and ensuring the collection of reliable data through faster digitalization. Installing a mechanical screw dispenser on the assembly line to minimize the mixing of screws and streamlining the process of changing part numbers (PNs), thereby optimizing operational efficiency. Assisting with a telescopic reaction arm installation at the screwing stations to alleviate operator fatigue and ensuring ergonomic support tailored to each task. Participating in team meetings as needed.

Requirements

  • Junior or Senior level student pursuing a degree in Industrial/Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering, or STEM related major
  • MS Office Suite (Excel advanced skills preferred)
  • 3D Design Tools (SolidWorks) experience
  • Critical thinking skills; Root cause analysis/Troubleshooting
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Available to start on May 26th and work 40 hours/week (in-person) for 10-12 week Summer assignment
  • Currently enrolled in 4-year accredited university
  • 3.0 minimum GPA

Nice To Haves

  • Previous internship experience in a manufacturing setting, a plus!
