About The Position
TTX Company is a leading provider of railcars and related freight car management services to the North American rail industry. TTX’s pool of railcars is ideal for supporting shippers in the intermodal, automotive, paper & forest, metals, machinery, wind energy and other markets where flatcars, boxcars and gondolas are required. This position is an internship opportunity within the company.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Knowledge of quality control systems and process improvement techniques.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data analytics tools such as Excel.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough reviews of existing processes for efficiency.
- Identify a problem’s root cause and create actionable solutions.
- Develop plans for improvement and techniques for implementation.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and/or 5S kaizen principles.
- Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Lead cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
- Monitor progress towards goals and regularly update stakeholders on project status.
