About The Position

Process Engineering Intern - Summer 2026 Here at Entegris, we use advanced science to enable technologies that transform the world, and we are seeking employees who have the drive to continue the mission. The Role: Our site in Billerica, MA is seeking a/an Process Engineering Intern to join our team for the Summer 2026 season. This assignment is intended to be 12-14 weeks in duration. As part of Entegris’ Manufacturing Operations team, you will work closely with the production and Sr. Process Engineers team to drive initiatives to increase output, reduce scrap and rework, eliminate waste, improve overall efficiency, and ensure quality and safety are built into processes at every step.

  • Demonstrated hands on problem solving utilizing good engineering principles.
  • Ability to work with a diverse team in terms of background and skill sets.
  • Embody a sense of ownership and passion of the process and drive improvements through creative solutions
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Graduation date of December 2026 or later

  • Must be a currently enrolled student
  • Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in mid-May/June through August/September.
  • Must be familiar with the universities requirements to participate in an internship program
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Lift 30 lbs and be able to work in a cleanroom environment

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance in projects which improve operational efficiency and deliver savings which support corporate objectives, such as on-time delivery, productivity, scrap reduction, etc.
  • Identify root cause and propose solutions.
  • Apply manufacturing best practices to drive safety, quality, reliability and predictability into everything we do
  • Work with teams to identify problems, analyze information and develop and implement process solutions
  • Assist in directing and controlling processes in accordance with defined policies and procedures
