Your Impact The Vertex Process Engineering Data Analytics Co-Op is a 6-month experiential training program for students currently working towards an advanced degree in Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or other related fields. If you are passionate, collaborative, and growth-minded, a co-op at Vertex will help you gain meaningful experience in our Technical Operations - Drug Product functional areas and serve as a launchpad for your career. Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in a College/University and have at least finished one year of a Master’s or phD degree in Chemical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering with a strong background in statistics and data analytics
  • Strong self-initiative, communication, and interpersonal and relationship skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an interest in manufacturing process data
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and data visualization
  • Proficiency in Excel; experience with JMP /Minitab is preferred
  • Minimum 3.5 GPA
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States, now and in the future
  • You must be enrolled in an advanced degree program if graduating before May 2027
  • You must be available to work full-time, 40 hours per week from January – July 2027

Responsibilities

  • Analyze historical manufacturing/process data to identify trends, patterns, variability and potential process drivers
  • Perform data cleaning, visualization and statistical analysis using tools such as JMP, Excel or Power BI
  • Develop meaningful visualizations and dashboards to communicate process performance and emerging trends
  • Partner with Manufacturing Science & Technology and Quality teams to translate data into actionable process insights
  • Collaborate in a cross-functional team to develop solutions
  • Identify opportunities to improve process monitoring, data utilization and manufacturing performance
  • Present findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
