About The Position

The Process Engineer is responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and controlled flow of manufacturing-related information and processes across Curry Supply Co. This role coordinates sourcing and data activities, manufacturing item setup and lifecycle control, routing/integration verification, and QAD inventory tracking. The Process Engineer also helps ensure that approved standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process requirements are followed in production. The role partners closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Production, Purchasing, Quality, Supply Chain, and other departments to keep information aligned with how products are sourced, built, tracked, and maintained.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related Engineering field
  • Ability to distinguish system/data issues from manufacturing-method issues
  • Able to prioritize multiple requests while maintaining accuracy and traceability
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to stand, sit, bend, reach, twist and lift items weighing 40lbs or less
  • Ability to work in an office and manufacturing environment as well as spend extensive time on the production floor
  • Comply with applicable safety policies and wear required PPE in required areas
  • May be exposed to typical manufacturing conditions, including but not limited to noise, dust, and temperature variation.
  • Experience in manufacturing, engineering support, production systems, inventory control, data management, or a related area
  • Equivalent relevant experience may be considered
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably QAD, item setup, routings, inventory transactions, or manufactured-item lifecycle processes
  • Experience in sourcing, purchasing support, or inventory tracking
  • Extensive knowledge regarding SOPs, work instructions, process compliance, and continuous improvement.

  • Independently investigates and resolves routine data, inventory, item-status, and process discrepancies, coordinating with the appropriate departments when issues cross functional boundaries.
  • Regularly works with Production and other departments to verify adherence to approved SOPs and work instructions and addresses routine deviations within established procedures.
  • Coordinates assigned changes affecting item data, lifecycle status, inventory tracking, routing requirements, or established procedures through implementation and follow-up.
  • Uses operational and QAD data to identify recurring issues and recommends practical improvements to data accuracy, process control, and production support.
  • Coordinates assigned projects across departments and follows issues through resolution and verification.
  • Leads complex or cross-functional Process Engineering initiates involving manufacturing data integrity, QAD system control, item lifecycle management, inventory tracking, sourcing/data coordination, and process compliance.
  • Provides advances technical guidance on the relationship between engineering data, QAD records, manufacturing processes, inventory activity, and shop-floor execution.
  • Leads investigations into complex or recurring data, inventory, item-status, sourcing, and process-compliance issues and drives corrective actions across affected departments.
  • Leads signification process-control improvements and coordinates implementation of change that affect multiple departments, products, or manufacturing process.
  • Serves as a key resource for resolving issues that cross the boundaries between Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Integration, Production, Purchasing, Quality, and Supply Chain.
  • Mentors and provides guidance to Process Engineers at lower levels and helps establish effective methods for maintaining data integrity, process control, and adherence to approved procedures.
  • Identifies systemic opportunities for improvement and drives sustained improvements in data accuracy, inventory control, process adherence, and overall manufacturing support.

Responsibilities

  • Cooperate with, participate in, and support the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the company’s compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Report pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested, or according to an established schedule; compile information as necessary or as directed and provide data to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to inquiries relating to his/her particular area, or to requests from customers, other personnel, etc., within given time frames and within established policy.
  • Work with Supply Chain and Engineering to clarify item, supplier, and material information needed for accurate system setup and production execution; Identify sourcing or material-data issues that may affect production flow, inventory accuracy, or item readiness.
  • Provide approved manufacturing process requirements and technical information to the Integration Team when process changes require updates to QAD, routings, or related manufacturing records; Coordinate with the Integration Team / Technical Writers to investigate discrepancies involving manufacturing-process requirements and clarify the correct technical information.
  • Help ensure transactions and system records reflect actual manufacturing activity and approved item requirements; Support accurate QAD inventory tracking and the controlled progression of manufactured items through applicable setup, production, and lifecycle stage as well as identify recurring issues and recommend improvements; Maintain visibility and accuracy of item status and related system information as manufactured items move through the established lifecycle; Review item status discrepancies, coordinate investigation, and support timely correction.
  • Regularly engage with production areas to verify that approved SOPs, work instructions, and established process requirements are being followed; Address deviations directly and professionally by explaining the applicable requirement and directing employees to follow the approved procedure; Clarify whether a concern involves noncompliance with an existing instruction or a procedure that requires review or revision; coordinate proposed revisions with the appropriate process owner; Escalate repeated, significant, or unresolved deviations to the appropriate supervisor or management personnel and follow up to confirm that corrective actions have been taken and established requirements are being consistently followed.
  • Work with Manufacturing & Design Engineering, Production, Quality, and Supply Chain to resolve information and process issues affecting production; Use QAD and operational data to identify recurring errors, delays, inventory issues, and opportunities to improve data quality and process control; Lead / Support continuous improvement throughout facility; Communicate all changes and updates to impacted departments.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation; Prepare reports or summaries as needed to communicate status, discrepancies, corrective actions, and improvement opportunities; Provide guidance to employees and cross-functional partners on applicable system processes and established procedures.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
