About The Position

The Process Engineer (Pressure Safety) IV supports the analysis, design, and optimization of process safety, including emergency relief system assessment, design, and revalidation. The role represents Covestro in industrial and trade communities such as AIChE (DIERS), ASME, and API. The position designs and evaluates emergency relief systems—including pressure safety valves, rupture disks, and venting systems—for new and existing plants in the NAFTA region. It supports site and regional pressure safety policies, standards, procedures, training, and execution; participates in Management of Change (MOC); and develops solutions to pressure-safety concerns identified through process-unit interactions. The role also supports day-to-day Business Unit operations, Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), and turnaround activities, and contributes to improving pressure-safety work processes and HSE initiatives.
