About The Position

The Process Engineer will be responsible for improvements relating to industrial/manufacturing processes and efficiency to reduce costs, improve sustainability, and maximize profitability. This role will be directly involved in the process design, operation, and implementation of such changes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial or manufacturing engineering
  • 2 – 5 year’s experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated leadership skills through experience, training and working well with others
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Inventor, and Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with OSHA Compliance and QM

Responsibilities

  • Assess current processes, take measurements, and interpret data
  • Recommend and implement improvements
  • Perform research, design, test, and upgrade systems for optimization
  • Defect reduction and measurement
  • Develop best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output
  • Perform process simulations
  • Manage cost and time constraints
  • Perform risk assessments
  • Provide process documentation and operating instructions
  • Implement computer-based Workflow Diagrams
  • Lean Manufacturing Implementation (8 Wastes, Material Flow, 1 Piece Flow, Root Cause Analysis, etc.)
  • Implementing and Managing Operations Metrics and develop Pareto Reports
  • ECO Management relief
  • Packaging Design and Labels
  • Operations Meeting Liaison
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, production, and quality team regarding alignment for product requirements
  • ISO/TL Auditing Support
  • Work to ensure and maintain compliance with safety, operational, and regulatory standards of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management (EMS), and Occupational Health & Safety Association (OHSA)
