About The Position

As the Process Engineer, you’ll be responsible for providing daily engineering support to manufacturing operations to resolve schedule attainment issues and improve efficiency. Processes may include a mix of milling, heat treat, welding, punch, finishing, printing or packaging. You will serve as a technical resource for troubleshooting and resolving process issues, identify and lead initiatives to improve cost, quality, service, throughput, and yield within assigned areas, and support and implement improvements related to process safety and operational risk assessments. You will also evaluate capital planning needs and support equipment upgrades, modifications, and technology investments, lead new equipment installations and existing equipment modifications, and implement new equipment processes and procedures. Additionally, you will liaise with suppliers, customers, and research & development staff, create drawings for tooling modification and gage design, support new product launches, and partner with cross-functional teams to plan and execute process trials, experiments, and data-driven improvement projects. You will document technical findings, communicate recommendations clearly, and contribute to effective team decision-making, troubleshoot robotics, and execute other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • 3+ years’ experience in Manufacturing Engineering function
  • Automation experience (robots, vision systems, packaging, etc.)
  • Kaizen, Continuous Improvement, TPS, Lean Manufacturing Methods
  • Familiar with Quality Management Systems, ISO9001.2015 or similar
  • Willing to travel occasionally (<10%)
  • Can read and understand technical drawings and schematics
