About The Position

Major Tool & Machine (MTM) is seeking a high caliber Process Engineer. In this role, the Process Engineer will prepare estimates and quote new jobs for RFQs and develop work order material and new manufacturing processes for new product launches, based on customer requirements.

Requirements

• Prior Engineering experience developing new manufacturing processes for new product launches
• Strong background in machining, blueprint reading, and GD&T
• Strong computer literacy, written and verbal communication, and project management skills

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field
• 3D modeling experience

Responsibilities

• Complete estimates using VISUAL Manufacturing
• Obtain material, subcontract and sublet quotations from materials department as necessary
• Conduct contract review of technical requirements versus quotation and coordinate order acknowledgment with CFT Leader
• Complete quality planning for projects
• Maintain part hierarchy and drawing/revision number documentation
• Provide technical support for manufacturing, material and subcontract/sublet contracting
• Complete disposition, root cause analysis and corrective actions as necessary for non-conformances
• Create fixture and process drawings as necessary
• Review and disposition Engineering Change Requests
• Conduct job release and post job review meetings
• Participate in performance improvement activities with manufacturing personnel
• Review Customer Change Requests, evaluate cost and delivery impact
• Notify Sales and incorporate Customer Change Requests as necessary
• Maintain electronic job folder
