About The Position

The Process Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing plans to improve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity. This role involves conducting research for new and improved manufacturing processes, exploring and implementing automation methods, programming automated systems, and designing equipment layouts. The engineer will also implement, test, and debug control systems, contribute to product development for high-volume manufacturing, and lead the optimization of industrial processes and machinery. Key responsibilities include establishing operational goals, ensuring accountability through clear responsibilities and performance measurement, supporting defect reduction studies, and confirming tooling feasibility. The role also requires evaluating processes and equipment for environmental and safety compliance, providing regular project status updates to management, identifying areas of delay, and requesting necessary assistance. Conducting risk assessments, taking ownership of Continuous Improvement projects, monitoring production process performance, and troubleshooting manufacturing issues are also crucial. The engineer will confirm manufacturing process efficiency, lead supervisor meetings to communicate production activities, identify capital expense needs, facilitate change and innovation, identify root causes of problems and implement corrective actions, and coordinate preventive maintenance activities with maintenance management. Collaboration with Product Engineers for new product R&D, testing, and pilot production is expected, as is identifying and implementing cost savings and efficiency improvement projects. The role promotes a transparent, positive, and safe work environment through safe practices, procedures, 5S efforts, and good housekeeping.
