About The Position

Nortek Data Center Cooling, a Madison Industries company, is seeking a Process Engineer to develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Plan for Every Part (PFEP) system. This role is crucial for optimizing material flow, inventory accuracy, and production efficiency by ensuring clear processes for sourcing, storage, handling, and replenishment of every part used in manufacturing, aligned with lean and continuous improvement principles. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical) or related field
  • 3–7+ years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or industrial engineering
  • Experience with PFEP, material flow planning, or inventory control systems
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools

Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and continuously improve the PFEP database for all production and indirect materials.
  • Define and standardize data elements for each part, including: Supplier information, Lead times, Order quantities, Packaging specifications, Storage locations, Usage rates and demand frequency.
  • Ensure PFEP data accuracy and alignment with ERP/MRP systems.
  • Apply and guide use of lean manufacturing tools: Value Stream Mapping (VSM), 5S, Standard Work, Kanban systems.
  • Lead initiatives to reduce: Excess inventory, Stockouts, Handling and transport waste.
  • Drive PFEP as a foundational element of lean transformation.
  • Partner with Supply Chain, procurement, Production, Warehousing, engineering, and quality teams.
  • Analyze material usage, inventory trends, and replenishment performance.
  • Develop dashboards and KPIs such as: Inventory turns, Line shortages, On-time delivery to point-of-use.
  • Use data insights to drive decision-making and performance improvements.
  • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for PFEP-related processes.
  • Ensure documentation of material handling, storage, and replenishment methods.
  • Maintain audit readiness and compliance with internal standards.
