Requirements

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience operating MOCVD systems (e.g., Aixtron or Veeco platforms).
  • Strong background in statistical process control.

Nice To Haves

  • Specific experience with optoelectronic devices and an understanding of Quantum Well structures is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Epitaxial Growth: Design and execute MOCVD growth runs for compound semiconductor structures.
  • Recipe Optimization: Develop and refine growth recipes to achieve precise thickness control, doping profiles, and wavelength uniformity across large-diameter wafers.
  • Characterization & Analysis: Analyze epi-wafers using Photoluminescence, XRD, Hall Effect, and SIMS data to correlate growth parameters with device performance.
  • Hardware Ownership: Manage MOCVD reactor maintenance, including seasoning, part changes, and troubleshooting hardware issues.
  • Yield Improvement: Drive root-cause analysis for defects and implement process controls to maximize High-Volume Manufacturing yields.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Device Design and Fab teams to translate simulation requirements into tangible epitaxial layers.
