About The Position

This role provides engineering and technical support for the manufacturing of non-woven products, specifically focusing on elastic and film products. The engineer will be involved in materials, process, project, equipment, and methods definition, development, and optimization. Key responsibilities include planning and conducting experimental evaluations for process optimization, providing technical support for equipment maintenance and modification, and driving engineering activities for new products. The role also involves supporting new product trials using Lean Manufacturing methods, executing Statistical Process Control, leading root cause analysis for inefficiencies, and conducting process improvement analyses. Additionally, the engineer will create process procedure documentation, support training procedures, execute supplier and customer complaint investigations, design process parameters for new products, and elaborate reports for developments, initiatives, or issues. The position also includes executing machinery and computer system validation, Change Control for parts and centerlines, managing the product structure within the ERP (Build of Materials), and leading Preventive Maintenance plans from a Process Engineering perspective.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Environmental, Industrial or related) - Required
  • 5 years’ experience with Analyze problems, identify the root cause and figure out a solution
  • 5 years’ experience with LEAN manufacturing
  • 5 years’ experience with Waste reduction
  • 5 years’ experience with Supporting new product trials utilizing Lean Manufacturing methods to minimize waste and maximize efficiency
  • 5 years’ experience with Data analysis capability
  • 5 years’ experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • 5 years’ experience with Executing the validation of machinery and computer systems, and Change Control for parts and centerlines
  • 5 years’ experience with Mini Tab
  • 5 years’ experience with Managing the trials, creating detailed trial plans, follow up and analyzing the trial results
  • 5 years’ experience with Design of Experiments and Statistical Analysis
  • 5 years’ experience with Executing supplier and customer complaint investigations
  • 3 years’ experience with Maintaining FMEA
  • 3 years’ experience with Troubleshooting Industrial Machinery for the nonwoven industry
  • 3 years’ experience with Leading the product validation process and participating in the customer qualification process for the nonwoven industry
  • 3 years’ experience with Engineering and technical support for manufacturing non-woven/Film and elastic products

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering and technical support for manufacturing non-woven products (Elastic and film products)
  • Participate in the areas of materials, process, project, equipment, and methods definition, development and optimization
  • Plan and conduct experimental evaluations to help with process optimization
  • Provide technical support to maintain, repair and/or replace equipment for our non-woven (elastic and film) lines as well as modify existing production equipment to improve both reliability and functionality
  • Support and help drive engineering activities for new products
  • Support new product trials while utilizing Lean Manufacturing methods to minimize waste and maximize efficiency
  • Execute the Statistical Process Control strategy and create by product
  • Lead root cause analysis for inefficiencies
  • Conduct analysis for process improvements
  • Create documentation of process procedures
  • Support training procedures
  • Execute supplier and customer complain investigations
  • Design process parameters for new products
  • Elaborate reports for new developments, initiatives or issues
  • Execute the validation of machinery and computer systems, and Change Control for parts and centerlines
  • Manage the product structure inside the ERP (Build of Materials)
  • Lead the Preventive Maintenance plans for Process Engineering approach
