About The Position

GEA is seeking a Process Engineer to join their team in Janesville, WI. This role involves supporting customers by optimizing GEA centrifugal equipment, aiding in sales development, and leading R&D for new product development. Requirements

BS in Chemical Engineering or related field
Minimum 3 to 5 years of industry experience (preferably in the renewable or environmental industries)
Microsoft Office Suite knowledge
Ability to work in multiple GEA markets, with the emphasis on the Pharmaceutical and Chemical industries.
Familiarity with process controls, motor controls, instrumentation, automation principles, and industrial networking.
Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures utilized in machine/system control systems.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to read/interpret P&IDs, General Arrangement (Mechanical Drawings), Electrical Schematics, and other engineering documentation.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.
Valid Passport Required (for travel).

Rockwell Programming Experience a Plus.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and improve processes for assigned GEA Markets, focusing on GEA mechanical separation technology.
Startup and commission GEA centrifuge equipment.
Support Sales Initiatives in developing innovative solutions for customers.
Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards.
Prepare and process samples for spin down studies and facilitate Design of Experiments for further testing and product development.
Collect, record, and transcribe data in detailed reports.
Maintain testing equipment as required and needed for job responsibilities.
Develop and implement systems that optimize all phases of production process (both upstream and downstream of GEA equipment).
Train customers on proper and safe use of GEA equipment.
Train other GEA team members on both equipment and processes.
Work with Project Engineering to develop cost-effective and efficient solutions for future projects.
Work effectively in an interdisciplinary work environment.
Read/interpret P&IDs, General Arrangement (Mechanical Drawings), Electrical Schematics, and other engineering documentation.
Work in multiple GEA markets, with an emphasis on the Pharmaceutical and Chemical industries.
Utilize knowledge of process controls, motor controls, instrumentation, automation principles, and industrial networking.
Apply knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures utilized in machine/system control systems.
Learn/utilize Rockwell Programming software for minor edits, collaboration with Automation Engineers, and startup support.
Utilize strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Utilize strong communication skills.
