Job Title : Process Engineer Reporting To: Offshore Operations Manager Work Schedule: Onsite – Blacksburg, VA Process Engineer Moog Inc. Our team in Space & Defense is looking for a Process Engineer to join them. You will report to the Offshore Operations Manager and will have an onsite work schedule in Blacksburg, Virginia

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in an engineering field
  • 3 years of engineering experience
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Experience communicating with internal and external customers, coworkers, and other disciplines across the business
  • Willingness to travel once or twice a quarter domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints/drawings.
  • Work and maintain confidential information.
  • Support to the slip ring production departments and Outsource Vendors.
  • Oversee the manufacturing process development with a domestic and international team.
  • Order and support manufacturing tooling, work instructions, labor standards, facility layout, quotes and continuous improvement.
  • Review and respond to request for quotes on new orders.
  • Conduct mechanical and electrical manufacturing design reviews and offer improvement suggestions for manufacturability.
  • Travel off-Site travel domestically and internationally
  • Support offshore vendors with technical problem solving.
  • Enforce and follow policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements as they apply such as ITAR
  • Provide reports to management on daily, weekly, and monthly performance to schedules and expenditures
  • Support technical exchange discussions with suppliers and Moog.
  • Cross-train to help in other areas.
  • Complete any other tasks as assigned by direct supervisor or operations manager.
