About The Position
The Process Engineer will monitor and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, quality, and throughput. This role involves leading and supporting process improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma tools, analyzing production data, and developing standard operating procedures. The engineer will collaborate with various teams to resolve issues, conduct audits, and drive waste reduction and cost savings. A hands-on approach to troubleshooting and technical support on the production floor is expected, along with promoting operational excellence practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or related field) preferred
- 1-3 years of manufacturing or process engineering experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
- Experience with data analysis and problem-solving tools
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a hands-on production environment
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
Nice To Haves
- Lean and/or Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Monitor and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, quality, and throughput
- Lead and support process improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma tools (DMAIC, 5S, Kaizen, etc.)
- Analyze production data and KPIs to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement
- Develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WI)
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve process issues and reduce downtime
- Conduct process audits and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and lean manufacturing standards
- Drive waste reduction, cost savings, and cycle time improvements
- Lead or participate in cross-functional continuous improvement projects
- Provide hands-on troubleshooting and technical support on the production floor
- Promote and enforce 5S, Lean principles, and operational excellence practices
