About The Position

Talon Hiring Solutions has a client in the Cincinnati, OH area that is looking for a Process Engineer to join their team! This person will support the design and execution of process engineering projects, with a focus on developing practical, innovative solutions that help clients achieve their operational goals. The ideal candidate has strong process design experience, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to work closely with clients and project teams to deliver high-quality results.

Requirements

Bachelor’s in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
Experience in leading or executing process designs in the form of engineering calculations documented on PFD’s, P&ID’s, general arrangement drawings, specifications, design basis, and associated lists.
Knowledge of typical chemicals and fluids used in consumer products applications, interactions with materials of construction, and proper design considerations.
Fluency with AutoCAD and Fathom.
Understanding of fluid control valves and instrumentation.
Familiarity with specification and sizing of pumps, heat exchangers, vessels, and other process equipment.
Great customer relationship skills/management experience.

Nice To Haves

Experience in the consumer products industry preferred.
Preferably on-site, in plant, and startup experience

Responsibilities

Support the execution of engineering projects as part of a collaborative project team.
Develop process designs primarily for clients in the consumer products industry.
Investigate and analyze technical data to make informed process design decisions.
Ensure designs align with company standards, client requirements, and project objectives.
Apply engineering principles and theory to evaluate the feasibility of process designs.
Identify potential process upsets, operational issues, and equipment malfunctions, and recommend effective solutions.
Evaluate and implement commercially available technologies to support process operations and project goals.
Apply applicable engineering codes, standards, and industry best practices throughout the design process.
Collaborate with clients and project stakeholders to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and strong ethical standards in all technical and client interactions.
