Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in ceramic, materials, chemical engineering, or related field
Minimum 2 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of engineering problem solving tools, such as: DMAIC, error proofing, scientific method, KT.
Proven experience in process improvement and successful development initiatives.
Strong technical expertise and hands-on experience in relevant areas.
Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects effectively.
Skilled in reviewing, analyzing, interpreting, and drawing actionable conclusions from data.
Results-driven with a high level of commitment to achieving goals.
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in delivering clear and impactful presentations.

Understanding of hypothesis testing, experiment planning and statistical analysis

Responsibilities

Drive projects to achieve manufacturing performance goals for both new and existing processes.
Identify process limitations based on current equipment and capabilities and recommend solutions to overcome them.
Lead initiatives to gain a deeper understanding of key processes, enabling continuous improvement, yield optimization, and cost reduction.
Provide strategic guidance to management on prioritizing projects for maximum impact.
Apply strong problem-solving skills to identify root causes, develop solutions, and implement improvements to address process challenges and enhance overall performance.
Manage and support critical engineering and development projects aligned with the plant’s long-term objectives.
Collaborate with division and company resources in technology and engineering to enhance project success.
Partner with teams on new product and process launches, raw material changes, and equipment design modifications.
