About The Position
Under general supervision, the Process Engineer provides engineering and project management support to maximize efficiency of production operations. They also provide project management, active leadership, and participation in the plant continuous improvement and safety processes.
Requirements
- Engineering/manufacturing degree OR 2 years experience in an industrial manufacturing environment required.
- Demonstrated leadership of continuous-improvement projects and/or cross-functional work teams.
- Demonstrated self-starter, continually seeking opportunities for improvement for both self and organization.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety to include hazard identification and mitigation, continuous improvement programs, and full understanding of applicable OSHA standards.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint, to include the ability to analyze and interpret data and create executive-level presentations.
Nice To Haves
- SAP experience is preferred
Responsibilities
- Manage and/or provide engineering support for process improvement projects, funded by both capital and plant resources.
- Collaboratively support plant waste reduction and throughput improvement goals through establishing new or updating existing processes, finding root causes to problems, and managing and sustaining corrective actions.
- Working with hourly personnel to closely understand barriers to performance and mitigate them.
