About The Position

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Process Engineer (Experienced and Senior Levels) to support a multi-disciplined engineering team based in Oklahoma City, OK, Ridley Park, PA, Berkeley, MO or Jacksonville, FL . This role reports to the BGS Engineering Practices, Processes & Compliance senior leader and may focus on one of three areas: Design Practice Execution, Quality & Compliance, or Process Architecture. The primary responsibilities include developing and sustaining project plans and training related to the design practice system (design practices, technical design reviews, design records), collaborating with technical working groups and program SMEs, to build processes to identify opportunities for improvements for design practice utilization and technical design review standards related to Global Service product and services. Deploying engineering quality and compliance initiatives across the BGS Engineering value stream (Government Services, Commercial Mods, Government Training, Supply Chain, and Maintenance). The role also involves standardizing and optimizing engineering processes aligned with the Quality Management System (QMS), driving process excellence via data analytics, identifying technical trends and root causes, supporting business-critical initiatives with executive-level reporting, and accelerating QMS adoption and maturity across engineering organizations. Additionally, we seek a candidate with a broad technical background, preferably with Product Support experience—and/or strong knowledge of enterprise and engineering policies, procedures, and processes. The candidate should be able to create and execute process management methodologies (such as SIPOC development), support process management MBE integration related to command media process writings and provide guidance on integrating engineering requirements and process utilization across BGS engineering teams through process models. Up to 10% travel is required to support program teams or offsite activity for all roles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 3+ years of experience in an engineering discipline. Mechanical, Systems Engineering, Process, or Project Engineering including familiarity with engineering processes and requirements is preferred
  • Experience with project management and self- managing projects
  • 1+ years of experience working with cross-functional or cross-organizational teams to develop and implement plans, schedules, or solutions
  • Proficiency in excel (pivot table, power point)

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of higher education and/or related work experience. (Higher education includes college, university, technical school, licensing/certification programs, etc.)
  • Familiarity of Design Practices or Engineering Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS) and Technical Design Reviews

Responsibilities

  • Technical guidance: Develop processes and action plans to identify and implement improvements in engineering processes, compliance, design practice utilization, and technical design reviews.
  • Design Practice implementation: Facilitate adoption of Design Practices (DP) across BGS products and services in partnership with capability teams.
  • Training & communications: Create DP and process-architecture training materials, deliver coaching and awareness sessions, and maintain communication channels (e.g., Degreed Pathway, websites, training videos).
  • Project leadership: Support DP project execution, track phase completion, and maintain health metrics and situational awareness to ensure timely task closure.
  • QMS integration: Embed Boeing Quality Management System (QMS) principles into capability-team processes and represent BGS Core Engineering in QMS initiatives.
  • Standards & maturity assessment: Use AS9100D and QMS standards to assess process maturity and identify improvement opportunities across engineering.
  • Audit readiness: Lead and participate in process reviews and internal checks to ensure audit readiness and sustained quality standards within engineering teams.
  • Process documentation/modeling: Develop, document, implement and integrate engineering requirements to support the BGS Engineering process model in coordination with SMEs across the capability’s teams and Quality and Product Support functions.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Communicate proactively with BGS engineering leaders, functional chief engineering offices, enterprise teams, and technical peers; provide status updates and executive-level presentations as needed.
