About The Position

Due to continued rapid growth, Noble Biomaterials, Inc. is seeking a Process Engineer to join our expanding team. At Noble Biomaterials, we engineer silver metallized fibers, fabrics, and foams that protect soldiers, support critical care, and enable performance across defense, medical, and consumer applications. As a Process Engineer, you'll design, develop, and optimize the manufacturing processes behind our antimicrobial, conductive, and EMF shielding products. You'll partner with R&D, Production, Engineering, and Quality to launch new products, scale up commercial processes, and continuously improve existing operations. The work spans the full process lifecycle: developing recipes, leading DOEs, troubleshooting production, qualifying new equipment, and maintaining compliance in our ISO 9001 certified operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Textile Engineering, or a related technical field
  • 3+ years of manufacturing or process engineering experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including DOE design and statistical analysis
  • Effective technical writer and communicator
  • Comfortable on the production floor in a fast-paced, regulated manufacturing environment

Nice To Haves

  • Metal plating (silver, copper, or nickel) — electroless or electrolytic
  • Textile or fiber manufacturing — yarn, knitting, fabric, or nonwovens
  • Silver chemistry, antimicrobial formulation, or conductive materials
  • JMP, SPC (InfinityQS), or similar statistical tools
  • QAD or other ERP experience
  • Six Sigma certification, PMP, or 5S training
  • Experience in ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 14001, or AS9100 regulated environments

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for silver metallized fibers, fabrics, and foam products
  • Develop and document process recipes, procedures, SOPs, BOMs, and routings
  • Conduct process mapping, root cause analysis, and lead DOEs to drive data-driven decisions
  • Analyze process data and KPIs to identify and execute improvements in cost, scrap, efficiency, quality, and performance
  • Support new product scale-up, commercialization, and technology transfer from R&D to production
  • Validate new equipment and support automation and process control initiatives
  • Partner with suppliers and Quality to ensure raw material specifications and availability
  • Train and mentor technicians and operators on process best practices
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
  • Lead or participate in continuous improvement projects (Lean, Six Sigma)
