About The Position
Shaw Industries is looking for a Process Engineer to lead continuous improvement in the Twisting and Heatset departments. The successful candidate must have a passion for continuous improvement and the desire and ability to lead internal teams to drive results. Build trusting relationships throughout the plant.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; Engineering preferred
- Must possess good organizational, computer, analytical, and leadership skills
Nice To Haves
- Prefer experience in yarn processes
- Prefer candidate with Six Sigma Black Belt
- Prefer candidate with mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge of data collection and interpretation; Black Belt training preferred.
- Experience in project management, associated principles, and tools are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead Lean/Kaizen/Six Sigma process and projects.
- Drive improvement in equipment reliability.
- Lead EITs as necessary.
- Analyze process and performance parameters to improve product efficiency and output.
- Manage the implementation of any process changes.
- Investigate processing and quality problems and implement data-driven solutions.
- Will act as the Waste Champion for driving waste improvement projects within the facility.
- Provide engineering and troubleshooting support to all departments as needed.
- Perform all job duties using safe work methods.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Department Manager as needed.
