About The Position

Applied Engineering, Inc. is seeking a motivated and hardworking individual to join our team in Ripon, WI as a Process Engineer. You will be part of a group of engineers dedicated to high-quality work, value-add solutions, skill development, and career growth. Reporting to our coming-soon Milwaukee office, we welcome candidates from Ripon, Appleton, OshKosh, and beyond to apply. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering required
  • 4+ years of engineering experience in a metal manufacturing environment preferred; internships and co-op experience can be considered towards experience
  • Strong background in Lean manufacturing, capability studies, process mapping, FMEA, and root cause analysis
  • Experience supporting production, troubleshooting processes, and driving measurable improvements
  • Ability to evaluate equipment proposals and implement new or optimized manufacturing processes
  • Experience developing work instructions, tooling specifications, and process documentation

Responsibilities

  • Examine equipment, processes, and operations to identify improvements in safety, quality, throughput, and cost
  • Implement process changes, update operational standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Select and implement manufacturing processes that enable competitive production costs
  • Evaluate vendor proposals and support new equipment purchases
  • Partner with production and maintenance teams to ensure equipment operates at like‑new performance levels
  • Conduct capability studies, time studies, and process development activities (including visual work instructions)
  • Provide daily production support, troubleshoot process issues, and drive reductions in scrap, rework, and cycle time
  • Specify tools, jigs, and fixtures; coordinate projects and participate in Kaizen events
  • Work collaboratively with suppliers and Applied partners across northern Wisconsin
  • Contribute to projects that impact communities in Ripon, Appleton, Oshkosh, and the surrounding areas
