About The Position

Polar Semiconductor is seeking a Process Engineer to manage discrepant material and high priority holds for PSL Disposition. This role involves maintaining reliable and accurate recipes, supporting manufacturing teams with equipment qualification and new tool startups, and responding quickly to out-of-control events. The Process Engineer will also assist in the development of key technologies and support projects aimed at improving yield, operational efficiency, and cost. Additionally, this position will facilitate training for technicians and production specialists, and analyze failed runs to identify process errors and recommend improvements. This role offers high visibility within the organization and the opportunity to work on projects impacting all aspects of the company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or related field.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor processing techniques and statistics.
  • Working knowledge of SPC, Gage R&R, and Six-Sigma methodology.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Skills in technical writing, computers, problem solving and organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Self-disciplined and highly motivated with experience managing multiple high priority projects.
  • Experience with SQL, MS Access, or similar database systems.
  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency status may be required in the future.
