Infineon Technologies is seeking a Process Engineer to provide sustaining manufacturing support in the manufacturing area. This role involves resolving day-to-day production issues, driving issues to root cause, and applying manufacturing best practices to enhance reliability and predictability. The Process Engineer will develop, lead, and implement projects aimed at improving operational efficiency and delivering savings, such as on-time delivery, productivity, and scrap reduction. This position requires routine work on complex issues, necessitating in-depth evaluation of factors and resolution of assembly and mechanical screening process issues using structured problem-solving techniques like 8D. The role also involves leading teams and implementing projects through continuous improvement initiatives like Lean or Six Sigma, acting as an engaging floor practitioner. The Process Engineer will identify and address project risks related to backend processes and materials, translating DFMEA to PFMEA and employing other risk management methods. Initiative, independent action, and calculated risk-taking are encouraged. The role includes transitioning new products from R&D to Pilot and HVM following a stage/gate process and defining long-term process technology development roadmaps. Additionally, the Process Engineer will investigate and collaborate with external assembly and screening OSATs for new product developments and support supplier quality, purchasing, and other groups in identifying and working with material vendors impacting assembly and mechanical screening processes.
