About The Position

Advantech Industries, Inc. is a family-owned manufacturing company based in Rochester, New York, specializing in CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and assembly services. The company, founded in 2002, serves multiple industries, including defense, medical, and aerospace, and operates out of a 250,000-square-foot facility. Under the supervision of the Engineering Manager, the Process Engineer is responsible for developing detailed work instructions for each job, ensuring all products are manufactured in strict accordance with customer-supplied designs and specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of a wide range of manufacturing operations, including CNC machining (mills and lathes), sheet metal fabrication (press brakes, lasers, and turret punches), welding, and mechanical assembly. The Process Engineer works to ensure efficient, accurate, and repeatable production processes while supporting overall quality and operational objectives.

Requirements

  • Ability to use precision measuring tools and equipment, read drawings and blueprints, and be familiar with common machine tools.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 10 years of machining or manufacturing experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • College degree preferred but not required.
  • at least three years of job processing experience preferred.
