Responsibilities

  • Designing, developing, and implementing new or revised production processes for the efficient/economical mass production of goods.
  • Designing arrangement of manufacturing equipment to ensure most efficient and productive layout.
  • Designing the sequence of production operations, specifying procedures for the fabrication of applicable tools and equipment, and adapting machinery in response to factory conditions.
  • Conducting test throughout all stages of production to determine control over applicable variables and troubleshooting/solving production problems.
  • Providing guidance to product design engineering on technical specifications that will best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
  • Ensuring that production processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
  • Directing, leveraging, and guiding the work of others, and mobilizing resources.
  • Monitoring and achieving operational and/or financial results for their area of responsibility.
  • People management actions such as rewarding, training, and developing employees.
  • Supervising entry level and experienced professionals and potentially para-professional employees.
  • Setting goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results.
  • Supporting team with day-to-day activities.
  • Applying general understanding of the business and coordinating with other areas to achieve department objectives.

  • Following all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods.
  • Reporting to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures.
  • Participating in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required.
  • Following all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
  • Reporting any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation.
