Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Technology, Industrial or equivalent is preferred
Minimum 3+ years of experience as Process Engineer or equivalent manufacturing/product development work experience
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada and able to commute daily to the office

Responsibilities

Coordinate and maintain physical layout of equipment, materials and storage
Knowledge of process flow, automation, assembly and production (mid-high volume production operations)
Knowledge of customer specific requirements (KATA, SQDCI, PDCA, PFMEA)
Maintain accurate throughput calculations for all manufacturing resources
Determine cycle times for manufacturing resources
Identify bottleneck resources and capacity constraint resources
Coordinate throughput improvement efforts
Perform standardize work studies
Implement Continuous Improvements and monitor cost savings
Maintain key performance indicator charts/graphs
Implement error proofing
Coordinate new business related matter, and problem solving efforts
Completion of Job Instructions sheets
Create and maintain SQDCI Boards
Responsible for production process from start to finish, updates, revisions, continuous improvements
Support product on optimizing equipment utilization and efficiency
Develop new equipment specification and lead the equipment selection process with Operations
Work with R&D to launch new products and inform productions
Any other tasks assigned by the Continuous Improvement Manager
