Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Technology, Industrial or equivalent is preferred
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience as Process Engineer or equivalent manufacturing/product development work experience
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada and able to commute daily to the office

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and maintain physical layout of equipment, materials and storage
  • Knowledge of process flow, automation, assembly and production (mid-high volume production operations)
  • Knowledge of customer specific requirements (KATA, SQDCI, PDCA, PFMEA)
  • Maintain accurate throughput calculations for all manufacturing resources
  • Determine cycle times for manufacturing resources
  • Identify bottleneck resources and capacity constraint resources
  • Coordinate throughput improvement efforts
  • Perform standardize work studies
  • Implement Continuous Improvements and monitor cost savings
  • Maintain key performance indicator charts/graphs
  • Implement error proofing
  • Coordinate new business related matter, and problem solving efforts
  • Completion of Job Instructions sheets
  • Create and maintain SQDCI Boards
  • Responsible for production process from start to finish, updates, revisions, continuous improvements
  • Support product on optimizing equipment utilization and efficiency
  • Develop new equipment specification and lead the equipment selection process with Operations
  • Work with R&D to launch new products and inform productions
  • Any other tasks assigned by the Continuous Improvement Manager
