Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with relevant software and tools used in departmental operations.
  • We are looking for recent graduates or 1-5 years’ industry experience.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications (Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of AUTOCAD software
  • Fluency in French and English, both oral and written.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing or maintenance environment is considered an asset.
  • It is helpful for the candidate to have a good knowledge of the packaging industry, printing, extrusion and adhesive laminating, slitting, and laser scoring.

Responsibilities

  • Implement solutions to improve the safety of operations and participate in the plant's day-to-day health and safety activities
  • Development and implementation of continuous improvement projects.
  • Develop and/or revise existing procedures (OPL/AST/Forms/etc.)
  • Lead a pillar of the plant's Continuous Improvement Program (GPS)
  • Work closely with the plant operations to implement new procedures or processes to improve productivity, reduce scrap, and minimize costs
  • Work in teams to improve product quality, or to reduce costs or related projects.
  • Understand equipment functionality and troubleshooting when not performing to expectations.
  • Work with operators to determine best process conditions, maintenance frequencies, etc. to ensure consistent operations.
  • Analyze and facilitate resolution of process problems with process improvement team members (Collect and analyze production data, and implement solutions)
  • Provide problem solving plant related production issues.
